In November 1968, the Sunday Times Magazine turned its considerable resources to Soho, dispatching writers, photographers and illustrators to capture the area's distinctive character. Studying the results of this, it's saddening to see how much of Soho has disappeared, sometimes demolished but more often just changed out of all recognition. Gone too is this sort of feature, a series of vignettes, alongside larger illustrated pieces. It's not sensational, just informative, humorous and 32 years on, so evocative you feel that the Soho depicted is still just a bus ride away.
